CLE/CPE Credits

Continuing Legal Education (CLE) Credits

BNA provides registered audioconference attendees with continuing legal education (CLE) credit processing services. To expedite this service, please complete and submit the online CLE request form available at attend.bna.com. Be sure to submit your online application for CLE within seven calendar days of the audioconference. If you do not complete your online application during the processing period, we are unable to guarantee that your CLE application will be processed.

CLE applications require the following information: full name and contact information of the requesting attorney, including e-mail address, phone number, fax number, bar number(s), and the state(s) in which the attorney wants credits. Please be advised BNA audioconferences are subject to approval from each CLE issuing organization and approval is not guaranteed (state bar associations in Delaware, Indiana, Kansas, Ohio, and Pennsylvania do not grant CLE credits for audioconferences). Non-reporting states (Maryland, District of Columbia, Nebraska, Hawaii, Arizona, New Jersey, Michigan, Massachusetts, and South Dakota) do not require continuing legal education credits, therefore there is no formal state or district mandated application process available. However, BNA will provide a certificate of attendance to individuals requesting documentation for their personal records.

The approval process requires approximately three to four months for final processing in some states. Attendees will be notified electronically, via the e-mail address provided on the online application, regarding the final status of his or her CLE application. Any person applying for CLE credits must have paid for and attended the audioconference from start to finish. Attendance will be taken for compliance purposes.

For more information regarding the Mandatory or Minimum Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) requirements, visit the American Bar Association website at http://www.abanet.org/cle/mandatory.html

Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Credits

BNA provides registered audioconference attendees with continuing professional education (CPE) credit processing services. CPE credits are based on a 50-minute hour. To expedite this service, please complete and submit the online CPE request form and survey available at attend.bna.com. Attendees requesting CPE must include the following information in the request form: full name, contact information, phone number, and e-mail address. Be sure to submit your online application for CPE within seven calendar days of the audioconference. If you do not complete your online application during the seven calendar day processing period, we do not guarantee that your CPE application will be processed in a timely manner.

Attendees will receive a certificate of completion electronically, via the e-mail address provided on the online application, detailing the allowable number of CPE credits. The approval process requires approximately two to three months. Any person applying for CPE credits must attend the audioconference (or live program) from start to finish and complete a program evaluation form. Attendance will be taken for compliance purposes.

If you have any questions about CPE and CLE credits, contact Jill Adler at 631.368.2082 x 21 or jill.adler@meeting-matters.com.
